The Alternative to Independent Living
Benefits of Living in a Manufactured Housing Community
Independence without the Price Tag
Own your own home. Keep your privacy. Stay social. Save at least 30% a month — and bring your pets along, no extra fees. It’s all the community of independent living, with the freedom of homeownership.
A Better Way to Live Independently
If you’re considering independent living for the lifestyle, community, and amenities — but not ready to give up your independence, your equity, or your privacy — a manufactured housing community may be the better fit.
Here’s how we compare. Independent living communities typically charge premium monthly fees for apartment-style rentals, often bundling in meals, housekeeping, and transportation whether you need them or not. Our communities offer a different model: own your own home on your own lot, at a typical monthly cost that’s at least 30% lower than independent living.
Owning your home means building equity instead of paying rent indefinitely. Having your own lot means more space, more privacy, and a place that’s truly yours — your own yard, your own entrance, your own front door — without sacrificing the social connection that makes community living appealing.
That’s because our communities offer the same active social calendar you’d expect from independent living: clubs, activities, events, and neighbors who become friends. And unlike many independent living communities, we welcome pets with no extra fees, because your furry family members are part of the package.
What we don’t include — meals, yard maintenance, and transportation services — are often the very things driving up the cost of independent living. If you’re independent enough to handle these on your own (or arrange them yourself, often for less), why pay for them?

Addressing the Anxieties of Aging in Place
One common worry older adults share is wondering how they will manage if their level of independence shifts over time. While independent living facilities advertise built-in staff, they often strip away your autonomy, locking you into costly, rigid care packages before you actually need them. In a 55+ neighborhood like Lavender Meadows, you retain complete control over your health choices, your daily schedule, and your retirement budget.
Because you own your home, you possess the absolute right to age in place comfortably on your own terms. Our modern homes feature bright, single-level architectural designs that completely eliminate the hassle of navigating stairs. Furthermore, our strategic location in Clallam County ensures you are always just minutes away from local pharmacies and the regional medical campuses right here on the Peninsula.
When extra support is needed, managing your daily living needs is remarkably straightforward. Our residents maintain their independence by choosing how and when they receive assistance, often by:
- Hiring private in-home care professionals to help with specific needs on a flexible schedule, ensuring you only pay for the exact care you use.
- Utilizing long-term care insurance or local healthcare networks to bring compassionate, tailored clinical support right to your front door.
- Modifying your private living space freely—such as adding step-free entry ramps or smart-home safety features—without having to jump through corporate facility hoops.
Your Next Chapter
